A client in Pietermaritzburg are seeking a detail-oriented Long-Term Insurance Administrator to join thier team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and administering long-term insurance policies, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims, and providing excellent customer service to policyholders. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance policies, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Policy Administration:
 
  • Process new long-term insurance policies, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Maintain and update policy records, including changes in beneficiary information, coverage adjustments, and premium payments.
 
Claims Processing:
 
  • Receive, review, and process long-term insurance claims in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with claims adjusters and other relevant parties to gather necessary information for claims assessment.
  • Communicate with policyholders and beneficiaries to provide updates on claim status and address inquiries.
 
Compliance and Documentation:
 
  • Stay current with industry regulations and compliance requirements related to long-term insurance.
  • Ensure all policy documentation and processes adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
 
Customer Service:
 
  • Serve as a point of contact for policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders, providing excellent customer service.
  • Address inquiries, resolve issues, and assist customers in understanding their policies.
 
Reporting:
 
  • Generate and analyze reports related to policy status, claims processing, and other relevant metrics.
  • Provide regular reports to management on key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administration (Any Industry)
  • Proficiency in insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong data entry and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
