Trade Accountant

Our client, a development and property company is looking  for a Trade Accountant,  based in Durban.

 

• A degree in accounting – (Articles would be preferable)

• Thorough knowledge of ACCPAC

 

Maintaining of financial transactions and records and reporting to Balance Sheet

 

• Maintaining the financial records of the company using bookkeeping software and online spread

sheets

• Maintaining supporting documentation as ready reference of any recorded transaction

• Maintaining records of subsidiaries

• Checking financial reports and records for accuracy

• Preventing, rectifying, or reporting errors made while recording, posting in or balancing any

account

• Reconciling all accounts periodically

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly financial statements

• Calculating taxes, collecting bad debts, paying creditors, and analyzing financial statements

• Assisting with preparation for audits and addressing any audit related queries

• Producing accounting reports and income and expenditure statements

• Drawing up the trial balance and the balance sheet of the company at the end of the year

• Processing sales invoices, receipts and returns

• Maintaining past accounting records of the company

• Assisting in the development of the annual budget of the company

• Commentary on month on month variances to the budgets

• Maintaining a monthly profit and loss statement

• Overseeing the cash flows, reconciling the bank periodically

• Safeguarding and securing all financial records of the company

• Staying up-to-date with relevant changes in accounting standards

 

 Salary – R 35 000 – R 50 000K
