Sales Rep
Our Client is seeking a Technical Sales Rep to join their team in Westmead, Durban.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Representative with a strong background in B2B sales and experience in the adhesives and/or abrasives industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of proven sales experience and a deep understanding of industrial sales processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage existing client relationships while seeking new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet and exceed sales targets in the adhesives and abrasives market.
Identify and engage potential customers through prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities.
Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers, helping them find the right solutions for their needs.
Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients, showcasing the company’s products and services.
Negotiate pricing and terms of sales agreements to close deals.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams, including production and customer service, to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
Maintain accurate sales records and reports, tracking sales performance and customer interactions.
Travel within the assigned territory as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the adhesives and/or abrasives industry.
Strong background in B2B sales, particularly in an industrial setting.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Technical aptitude and ability to understand product specifications and applications.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications:
A relevant degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
Technical certifications related to adhesives, abrasives, or industrial products would be beneficial.
Benefits:
Up to R30k CTC DOE + Commission
