Traning and compliance role
 
Location:Durban
 
Duties and responsibilities:
 
You will not be required to carry out training necessarily but rather to ensure that training happens. This might involve things like setting up internal training sessions where the  staff teach others, getting external people to facilitate training, Friday video sessions, compiling training material (often from policy documents/fact sheets), etc.
Some tasks include:
    • Training needs identification
    • Scheduling regular training sessions with relevant staff members
    • The management and oversight of the insurer policies that we offer to schemes.
    • Communicating any changes in insurer terms and conditions to all staff and to effected clients
    • Facilitating compulsory training session (FICA, COI & HIV Awareness)
    • Induction plan for new staff
    • Product training and excel training for new staff
    • Screening potential new staff on their Excel, Word and Outlook skills
    •  Connect Newsletter to provide brokers with knowledge of our industry
 
Compliance:
Although there are a number of people involved in carrying out all of the requirements that fall into the area of compliance, it would be the intention for this person to manage and oversee compliance holistically.
Some tasks include:
    • Updating of  policies in line with legislative changes
    • Keeping  staff, brokers and clients informed of up-and-coming regulatory changes (FICA, POPI, PPR etc.) and their effects
    • Ensuring Masthead has the necessary documents and information to conduct their quarterly audits
    • Collection of FICA documents on historical schemes
    • Complaints Register management and oversight
    • Providing insurers with relevant compliance reports
 
Salary: R20 000 CTC +Benefits

Relevant previous experience within the financial/insurance industry
